Introduction
This document provides last-minute information about AnyBackup Family 7.0.16.3. A new product AnyBackup Disaster Recovery Management is released. New features, new compatibilities, and enhancements of AnyBackup Enterprise, AnyBackup CDM and AnyBackup Express can be found in the following sections of this document.
The release version of AnyBackup Family 7.0.16.3 is available from December 31, 2021. If you are upgrading from previous versions, please review the upgrade guide closely before performing the upgrade.

New Product - AnyBackup Disaster Recovery Management
AnyBackup Disaster Recovery Management 7.0.16.3 is a new member of AnyBackup Family. It provides features such as Recovery Resource Management, Recovery Policy Management, Recovery Process Orchestration, Disaster Recovery and Exercise Management and Report, so that automated disaster recovery and exercise can be easily achieved and the availability of application systems can be verified. Meanwhile reports can be displayed.
- It provides critical capabilities including:
- Recovery Resource Management: Built-in and external recovery resources can be managed centrally. Built-in resources can be generated by one-click operation. Recovery resources can be reused by multiple users and automatically cleaned up for recycling.
- Recovery Process Orchestration: The recovery processes of backup and copy data management jobs can be flexibly orchestrated.
- Recovery Policy Management: One-off and periodic recovery policies are supported, so that automatic recovery in a period of time or disaster recovery immediately after backup can be performed.
- Disaster Recovery and Exercise Management: Automated data recovery, availability verification, recovery resource cleanup on orchestrated application systems are supported. Reports can be displayed as well.
Note: AnyBackup Disaster Recovery Management will continuously broaden compatibilities and optimize capabilities like cloud recovery resource management and data consistency verification, so that requirements from more users can be met and the capabilities can be further improved.
Features
 ●  Recovery Resource Management
- Recovery resources of external physical clients, virtual clients, virtualization platforms, cloud platforms and object storages can be managed.
- The x86 production host can be cloned to built-in recovery resource in AnyBackup EKVM.
- Recovery resources can be assigned to multiple tenants and operators, and they can also be recycled after use.
- The application status of recovery resources can be reverted and the recovery resources can be cleared after disaster recovery and exercise are performed.
 ●  Recovery Process Orchestration
- Orchestration canvas is supported so that the function components in disaster recovery workflow can be orchestrated by drag and drop.
- Backup and copy data management jobs can be orchestrated together.
- Three orchestration templates are supported, including single job orchestration, multi-job serial orchestration and multi-job concurrent orchestration, so that different orchestration demands are satisfied and the operations are simplified as well.
- The regularity of recovery workflows in orchestration will be detected, so as to make sure that they can be used after orchestration.
 ●  Recovery Policy Management
- Periodic recovery policies are supported, including immediate recovery after backup and regular recovery per week, per month, per quarter and per year. Auto retry after the recovery fails is supported.
- One-off recovery policies are supported, including recovery at a specified backup point in time and recovery at the latest point in time. Auto retry after the recovery fails is supported.
- Multiple recovery policies can be added for one recovery workflow.
 ●  Disaster Recovery and Exercise Management
- Disaster recovery and exercise can be performed for backup jobs and copy data management jobs.
- Disaster recovery and exercise can be performed for application systems orchestrated by multiple backup and CDM jobs.
- Reports can be provided, on which recovered data, start time, recovery result, availability verification result, actual RTO and RPO can be displayed.
- Automated and periodical disaster recovery and exercise can be performed for application systems. The availability of applications will be verified after recovery, and the recovery resources will be cleared. The recovery results can be displayed in the report.

- AnyBackup Disaster Recovery Management adopts independent installation package. It can be deployed together with AnyBackup Express, AnyBackup Enterprise and AnyBackup CDM.

- Flexible Deployment (high performance, non-intrusive): Multiple AnyBackup agents can be deployed to enhance the reliability and performance of backup and recovery. AnyBackup agents can also be deployed outside the production cluster to avoid impact on the production environment.

Feature
 ●  [Oracle Backup and Recovery] Job scheduling for RAC multiple nodes (> 2 nodes) is optimized. Abnormal scheduling after a node fail is solved.
 ●  [Oracle Copy Data Management]
- Job scheduling for RAC multi nodes (> 2 nodes) is optimized. Abnormal scheduling after a node fail is solved.
- The processing logic is optimized and more info is displayed in Execution Output. The SCN corresponding to deletion of log backup is specified.
 ●  [Authentication Management] AK/SK verification is optimized. Each user can use all executable interfaces.
 ●  [AnyShare]
- The restriction that the recovery destination must be a new and unused AnyShare is removed.

The restriction that the Bucket of object storage (recovery destination) must be empty is removed.

Performance
 ●  [Directory] The module is reconstructed.

 ●  [Client] The time for reconnection between the client and the console in case of cluster node exceptions is shortened from 30min to 2min 30s.
 ●  [Job Load] The load balancing algorithm initiated by backup and CDM jobs is reconstructed. Available load nodes can be obtained in up to 15s in case of cluster node exceptions.
 ●  [Job Monitoring] The background monitoring mechanism for backup jobs is optimized. In case of cluster node exceptions, the monitoring mechanism will resume in 10s, down from the original 1min.
 ●  [Agent] The agent node monitoring mechanism is optimized. The background job of node agent management service is cancelled. The master node’s continuous request for agent management service and agent service from other nodes is cancelled. The number of network requests among nodes per minute is reduced by 24 * (n-1) times (n is the number of nodes) to reduce the resource occupation on node.
 ●  [D2D2T]
- With 4 drivers, the archive speed for large files can reach 700 MiB/s or so.
- With 4 drivers, the archive speed for small files can reach 350 MiB/s or so.
Interaction Optimization
 ●  [Report] Data of user report can be filtered and downloaded.
 ●  [Policy Template] The content for “Exporting Policy Template” is optimized. You can choose to skip or rename the template and error field verification is supported.
 ●  [H3C CAS / SANGFOR HCI / ZStack] The client to be added can be searched by client name or IP when a virtualization platform is being added or edited.
